If you have logged onto this page it will be because you have received notification that Baines & Ernst stopped managing your Debt Management Plan on the 14th July 2017. Since that date your plan has transferred to MoneyPlus Group. As part of this transfer we want you to be assured that there will be no changes to your plan. As such if you want to contact Baines & Ernst then you should continue to do so on the same telephone number that you have for them. There will be no change to how you pay each month, and the actual payment that you make will remain the same. The fee that you were paying to Baines & Ernst will stay the same and the agreements that are in place with your creditors will also stay in place. As such there is absolutely nothing for you to worry about.

Will I hear from you soon?

As mentioned in our introduction letter, we would like the opportunity to welcome you to MoneyPlus and to take the time to make a full assessment of your current financial affairs. MoneyPlus offer a wide variety of additional services which are designed to save you money and improve your financial situation. One of our dedicated agents can discuss these with you.

What if I don’t want to change companies?

We hope this is not the case as we are looking forward to welcoming you to MoneyPlus. If however you decide that this isn’t what you want, please call us and discuss this with us. One of our agents will be happy to take your call and will explain the other options available to you.

What are my contractual options if I don’t want to continue with my Debt Management Plan?

You have the right to cancel your plan at any point, and deal with your debts as you deem appropriate. If you would like to explore other options then the Money Advice Service offers a variety of free and impartial money advice, a range of guides, tools and calculators designed to help you. What if I’m struggling to make my payments?

MoneyPlus Group appreciates that your situation can change from time to time; the good news is that we can help if you keep in touch with us. We are able to offer a variety of financial solutions to our consumers; these services are available to you and will be discussed when we make contact with you. As with any financial product, we believe that this should be suitable and affordable. The Money Advice Service can be contacted for more information.

Are the MoneyPlus Group regulated?

Yes we are, we are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The FCA’s (Financial Conduct Authority) aim is to ensure that consumers interests are adequately protected by ensuring consumers are placed at the heart of financial services businesses. The FCA do this by monitoring and regulating the industry to ensure that companies follow the right Principles and act with integrity.

How will my personal data be used by MoneyPlus?

We will process your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other associated legislation which we must comply with.  Should you wish to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to call us for further clarification.

What if I have a specific marketing preference and prefer that you don’t send me any communication?

Generally we will only contact you with information on products or services in line with the service in which we aim to provide to you. In order to ensure that we are meeting your expectations in regards to any marketing preferences, you are able to request that marketing communication is suspended or adjusted to meet your needs. We may not have received your individual marketing preference from your previous company and therefore will issue you with information we believe to be of assistance. What if I need additional specialist support or someone to act on my behalf because of ill health or other personal reasons?

We are able to offer tailored support via our Specialist Care Team. If you would like someone to represent you then please let us know and we can provide you with a 3rd party authorisation form to complete. If you feel that you may benefit from additional support, please contact us to discuss this. We are here to help you.

Can I complain?

We hope this is not the case, however if you would like to make a complaint, you can do this for free and the complaints procedure is available on our website moneyplus.com or alternatively you can contact the Complaints team on 0800 988 2318 or email complaints@moneyplus.com. We always appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns with you and will do everything possible to help resolve this for you.

Following the purchase of your data from Baines & Ernst, please be assured that we will only process Your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other associated legislation which We must comply with.

What does this mean?

We will only process Your information for the purposes intended when you consented to Baines & Ernst processing your data to assist you with managing your debts. This includes keeping Your personal date safe and secure at all times.

Unless We have Your prior consent or if required by law, We will not pass Your details onto any other 3rd party. We will only recommend to You the services of a 3rd party if We believe that such a party will be of assistance to You. In such circumstances We will always identify to You the identity of that party/professional, why We are referring You to them and where You can get in touch with them. If You would like to opt out of any such communications, please let us know.

As to the information that We have on our systems about You, You have a right to see this. If You would like to see a copy of this information then please write to us at our office address, for the attention of the Compliance Officer, enclosing a fee of £10.
